Google Cloud Partner Interconnect provides connectivity between a customer’s on-premise networks and VPC network through a supported service provider (Interconnect Partner).
A Partner Interconnect connection is useful if a customer’s data center is in a physical location that can't reach a Dedicated Interconnect colocation facility or if a customer’s data needs don't warrant an entire 10 Gbps connection.
The Interconnect Initiative is reserved for Google Cloud Partners providing cloud connectivity for the Google Cloud Interconnect product. To express interest in becoming an Interconnect Partner, please reach out to your Google Partner Manager.
Please see the Interconnect Initiative Addendum to the Program Guide to learn more.
This guide contains all the information and resources you need to successfully integrate your services with GCI-Partner. The focal point of integration is this hub called Cloud Connect. As a member of this site, you have been given access to all the material mentioned below.
As part of the on-boarding process, members of your team have been added to the email@example.com mailing list, which we will use to make key product announcements and updates. This is a one-way only list and members are not identifiable by each other. Please keep your company’s contact up to date by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The on-boarding process has been broken up into a number of distinct phases outlined below:
There are a number of resources that should be leveraged at each phase which can be found in this:
At the end of the integration, partners will perform a test exercise for each location and report the results to Google. This path is advised for new integrations. For engagements where the partner is already onboarded and is simply turning up a new location, the partner can skip to the Release Planning phase.
To ensure that the integration is making progress during the Integration and Test phase, we recommend tracking against these milestones:
When communicating with Google, it is helpful to understand what point the integration is at and what blockers are impeding progress towards the next milestone.
For initial on-boarding, it could take between three to six months from agreement signing to product release. Throughout this time, partners can engage with Google over email but, at times when a call would be more efficient, the partner can request a meeting for a Google engineering contact through your Google partner manager.
Thank you for being a valued Google Technology Partner. We look forward to our collaboration and helping you succeed with Google Cloud.
